Tasikmalaya, 25 April 2026 — Pioneer Language Centre (PLC) successfully delivered a two-day bilingual teacher training programme at LPI Al Muttaqin, Tasikmalaya. The training ran from 24 to 25 April 2026. It served 29 educators from elementary, junior high, and senior high school levels.

The programme equipped both current and incoming CLIL educators with practical skills. Teachers learned how to design and deliver high-quality bilingual lessons.

Held from 08.00 to 15.00 each day, the sessions combined theory with hands-on practice. This format ensured teachers could apply the tools immediately in their classrooms.

Day 1: Building a Strong Foundation with “Introduction to CLIL”

The first day focused on the session “Introduction to CLIL”, where participants explored the framework holistically. PLC trainers Ms. Satonah and Ms. Ika Mayliana led the session. They guided teachers through the core principles of Content and Language Integrated Learning, drawing on years of classroom experience in real bilingual learning environments.

Participants engaged in structured discussions and shared insights from their teaching experiences. This collaborative approach helped educators connect new concepts with their existing classroom practices. As a result, the learning felt meaningful and immediately applicable.

Day 2: Hands-On “Material Makeover Workshop”

The second day shifted into practical territory with the “Material Makeover Workshop”. Teachers performed a self-check on their existing worksheets and identified areas for improvement. They then redesigned and built new worksheets aligned with CLIL principles. The new materials genuinely support both content mastery and language development.

This workshop format gave participants something tangible to bring home. They left with real, classroom-ready materials they had built themselves under expert guidance.

What the Teachers Said

The most meaningful measure of any bilingual teacher training is the impact on the educators themselves. Three participants shared their reflections:

“This training has been an extraordinary experience. The lessons we received are truly relevant for developing the competencies that 21st-century teachers need today.”
— Dede Ahmad Humilah, Senior High School Teacher

“This was my first time learning about the CLIL method. Even in just two short days, I came to understand that CLIL is not only about deepening subject content, but also about developing language skills through the 4C framework.”
— Liese, Elementary School Teacher

“This training opened my eyes to just how important the English language really is.”
— Annisa Ulfi Alfiah, Junior High School Teacher

A Follow-Up to February Classroom Observations

This professional development programme is part of a structured pathway. It serves as a follow-up to the classroom observations PLC conducted at LPI Al Muttaqin in February 2026. The observation findings shaped the programme’s focus. The team prioritised strengthening teacher competence in producing high-quality CLIL materials.

By grounding every session in real classroom data, PLC ensured the training addressed the actual needs of LPI Al Muttaqin’s teachers. The content was not generic — it was built specifically for them.
